Tarek Sultan is the Chairman and Managing Director of Agility, one of the world’s leading providers of integrated logistics. Agility is a publicly traded company with close to $6 billion in annual revenue and more than 22,000 employees in over 550 offices and 100 countries.

Mr. Sultan spearheaded Agility’s expansion from a local Kuwaiti player to the largest logistics company in the Middle East to a truly global company over the course of the last decade.  Today, Agility’s commercial business, Global Integrated Logistics (GIL), is headquartered in Switzerland and provides supply chain solutions to meet complex and traditional customer needs.

Agility’s unique collection of portfolio businesses includes Agility Defense & Government Services, a logistics provider to governments, ministries of defense and international organizations.  Agility’s Infrastructure group of companies manages commercial and industrial real estate and offers solutions in customs optimization and clearance, waste management and recycling, aviation services, remote infrastructure and life support.

Mr. Sultan serves on the board of directors of the National Real Estate Company, Burgan Bank and The Sultan Center in the Middle East. He is the Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Board of Governors for the Logistics & Transportation Industry, he acts as an advisor to the Singapore Economic Development Board and sits on Wharton’s International Advisory Council. Mr. Sultan also sits on the regional board of Junior Achievement (Injaz), which provides youth in the Middle East with practical opportunities to learn entrepreneurial skills.

Mr. Sultan holds a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Strategic Planning from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College. Before taking on his leadership role at Agility, Mr. Sultan was the managing director of New York Associates, a regional investment banking services provider and an associate with Southport Partners, a U.S.-based corporate finance advisory firm specializing in the technology sector.

Mr. Sultan is married with three children. He enjoys playing tennis and golf.
